Greg Gutfeld of Fox News faces backlash for implying Noem’s physical appearance influences her political career. Following Noem’s confirmation hearing, Gutfeld insinuated she could easily secure a position in Donald Trump’s administration due to her looks.

 

In a panel discussion on The Five, Gutfeld compared Noem to outgoing DHS chief Alejandro Mayorkas, stating, “You’re going from a garden gnome to Kristi Noem.” He controversially added, “She’s so attractive that even shooting a dog doesn’t deter her chances,” referencing Noem’s revelation about euthanizing her dog in her memoir.
