Justin Baldoni Accuses Ryan Reynolds of Bullying in $250 Million Lawsuit
The tension between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively escalated as Baldoni filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times, alleging that Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s husband, berated him for supposedly “fat-shaming” Lively during the production of “It Ends With Us.”
In the legal documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Baldoni described a confrontational encounter with the couple at their New York City apartment before filming “It Ends With Us.” He accused Lively and Reynolds of subjecting him to an “inappropriate and humiliating berating.”
Baldoni mentioned that the incident occurred in the presence of other celebrity friends, adding to the intensity of the situation.

According to Baldoni, the altercation was so intense that he felt compelled to repeatedly apologize, despite his inquiry being reasonable and made in good faith.
Baldoni, in an attempt to avoid further conflict with Lively and Reynolds, continued to comply with Lively’s demands.
Lively refused to perform the scene, even though it had been rehearsed with a stunt double, and threatened to quit the film if Baldoni did not conform to her standards.
Lively’s legal team responded to the lawsuit on the same day, stating, “Nothing in this lawsuit changes anything about the claims advanced in Ms. Lively’s California Civil Rights Department Complaint, nor her federal complaint, filed earlier today.”
The New York Times intends to vigorously defend against the lawsuit, asserting that their reporting was meticulous and accurate.
Lively also initiated a lawsuit in New York against Baldoni, his PR team, and Wayfarer Studios for severe emotional distress and lost wages related to the accusations outlined in The New York Times article.
